One of the benefits of a winter trip to Yellowstone National Park is that it is home to multiple species – Bison, Long Horn Sheep, Coyotes, Bobcats and even Wolves if you are lucky, and many more. To have the opportunity to photograph wildlife in this harsh environment, sometimes chest deep in snow, with temperatures as low as -30 degrees, was both a challenge and an exhilarating experience all at once. To lie on the floor of an active volcano metres from bubbling vents was somewhat surreal – I definitely want to go back!
