One of my many trips to capture iconic wildlife with Danny Green of Natures Images. After a long flight to Anchorage via Minneapolis, followed by a four-hour road trip, we arrived at our base in Homer, Alaska (complete with cannabis shops and the most fantastic Turbot you will ever eat!) Homer is also the home port of Time Bandit, of the Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch fame…but I digress. The Bald Eagle is the iconic national bird of the United States, and at one time was on the endangered list. Now protected, this bird is now free to roam the skies of North America and Alaska. As you can see, our daily trips out to Kachemak Bay to find the best locations and were successful and our return trips were pretty eventful too! Unfortunately, we had very little snow, so I will have to go back…
